Purity
When we think of purity of heart,
perhaps we think of someone whose motives are pure, who possess no guile or
malice. Someone who is good natured and may even be somewhat innocent.
It is perhaps difficult at times to live a
pure life with so many problems in our lives. But, we should learn from our
surrounding nature as how to live a pure life .
.
We can see a beautiful example of The
lotus flower which is one of the most remarkable creations in nature. Its
beauty lies in its purity, because this magnificent flower emerges from the
bottom of a pond, yet rises above its muddy depths to become a thing of beauty.
A lotus flower grows beautifully even though it spends its life in marshy ad
dirty water. The negativity or bad influences doesn't make it impure and
destroy its beauty. Similarly we might be surrounded by negativism and bad
influences but it should not hinder our walk to lead a life of purity...We can
learn from some animals and birds around us...A sheep or goat, a dove,
they do not like dirt in their body ,they
try to remove it as soon as they come to know of the dirt. Similarly when we
come to know of the sin lingering on us we should try to rub it off
........Then try to live a peaceable and pure life. It means to be genuine,
free from things that would adulterate and make it impure; as in the purity of
gold.
Do not
be confirmed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
This body is a living sacrifice to God holy acceptable to God with heart of
purity. Try to live a life with purity and simplicity.
