Have Salt in Your Life...

Pandemic which, is spreading around the world has caused tensions, and anxiety globally. Even in such tense situation, people have not stopped polluting the atmosphere with; bad motives, indecent act, rape. Recently shocking cases; in M.P a 6 yr girl was raped, and left blind, then on 29th a 16 yr girl raped by a 22 yr man in Gurugram, then 40 yr woman gang raped in a school amidst lockdown. The, domestic violence of husband killing his wife, wife killing her husband is on rise. This, decaying or the pollution of the world needs to be stopped to bring healing on our land.

While, going through my reading portion of 2 king 2:21-22, here, "some men of the city said to Elisha, "the water is bad, and the land is unproductive" To this Elisha, told to "bring a new bowl" he said, and "put salt in it". So they brought then Elisha, threw the salt into the spring saying, "This is what the Lord says: " I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive." Soon, the water was cleansed, and life sprang up all around with no pollutants. Holy Spirit gave me an insight to be like, the salt. Salt is showing us a symbol of purity, holiness. In the story of Elisha, salt acts as preservative, a purifier. 

I remember an incident, once we went for lunch in our close relative's house. She, cooked the fried rice in a excellent way. The ingredient, the dry fruits, decoration all was fantastic. But, one thing was lacking, the main ingredient salt. Soon, she realized it and put it from top. The, salt  not only is a good savor. It has various other properties. I understood, it’s uses in depth when I studied carefully about it, which I would like to share.

- You, cannot destroy its savor. Even though it may change from solid to liquid still the savor remains same.

- It acts as a preservative in Ps 16:1, "Preserve me O God for in thee I put my trust". Psalmist is asking God to preserve Him as a preservative it can be salt. As, we use salt in pickles or meat or sauces to prevent it from spoiling. It is an enduring mineral, that cannot spoil.

- It is white crystal, showing it's purification form. It can be subjected to extreme temperature.

 - Nothing can make it impure, or infected as, it is used as a disinfectant. No germs or bacteria can culture in it. Our grandparents used to brush their teeth with salt as a substitute for toothpaste.

- It helps for good health. If the salt is reduced from the body it can cause various health problem.

- It is used in chemical industries, hotels, glass production, water softener for laundries. It is a good fertilizer.

 In the, same way if we ever lose, our salt like qualities, then we are also good for nothing. So, we should be like salt in the earth, this is what 'Jesus' expects. These days, let us be like salt which has so many uses.

 Friends, The pandemic happening, around us needs our inner selves to be holy and pure for a healing. When, the Lamb of God will come to rule He, expects purification from each of our lives. Let us pray. Time is short.

Release...

During, this time of lockdown, who doesn't, want to have freedom? Everyone, from a rich person to a poor man, from a small child to an old person, everyone is eagerly waiting, for a freedom to move out with, no restrictions. God, loves us so much that we should be thankful for, the freedom He, has given us. Freedom, in our country of practicing, your choice of religion, language, or speech. You, don't have to pay a fine, or face a punishment. You, are not in bondage, or in a prison, jail, if you practice certain religion. You, are free to fly.

God, gave this freedom to Adam and Eve. He, gave all the goodness for them to enjoy. They were free to do anything but; were only forbidden to eat from, the tree of knowledge, of good and evil. Eve, disobeyed for which she had to suffer a big consequence. Disobedience, is one of the sin which she did, with; that she was lured away by, the devil through his words which, aroused passion to sin.

The commandment of God, was broken which brought sin and suffering to the mankind. But; God, sent His Son, to redeem His, people from the bondage of sin, fear and death, and to restore the same intimate relationship with Him.

Sin, causes a person to fear, like; Eve after doing wrong hid herself, from God due to the fear of being naked, in front of God. This, bondage in life from the sin can be set free only through 'Jesus'. He, came so that you can have a freedom in your life. As, written in John 8: 36, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed". Once, the Son enters your life Holy spirit, will start working in your life. 2 Cor 3:17," Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

While, reading my regular portion Exo 21: 2-6, God enlightened me, by pondering on to life of a Hebrew slave, who was bound to work for six years then, only he would be freed without, paying anything. And, if at all he chooses to stay with his master the rest of his life, he would have his ear pierced with, an awl as a sign, a bond servant for life.

Just imagine, the freedom we have in 'Christ'. You don't have to pay, or get your ear pierced. In return, the master has paid for you, a ransom on the cross. You just have to invite 'Jesus' in your heart, trust Him, obey Him. As, written in Gal 5:1, " Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

Life is a matter of choices. To, have freedom or be in bondage. Look unto Jesus, if you want a release. Free gift of Salvation is only in hands of Jesus. Reason for Hope that is in us...

Do, have a close look on the drawing.. The beautiful scenery outside, and the girl locked down in the room with a billion doubts.

During these crucial times, all are faced with one or the other challenges ; it can be of job, children's education, future, business, economy, finance, illness, etc. These, uncertainties start drifting us slowly from His presence, and curl up with fear. Lately, I came to find out many are going into depression stage, and suicides. As, people are losing their hope. The worries of life, about tomorrow dwindles each heart. This, is the time, to reason, and find our true identity, of 'who we are for'. Don't forget, you are in God's child, He, created you in His, own image. He, has redeemed you with His blood. You, are His valuable possession.

God, is aware of things going on in our lives. God's presence, his power, and promises is the emergency drugs, required in this crucial time. God is able to overcome the evil that, has besieged us. He has overcome the world. He, is our ultimate victor. Have, a confident expectation of tomorrow. Each morning, when you get up you should see, a ray of hope.

When, Noah and his family were in the ark they; too heard, only the clatter of rain, and thunder for 40 days and night, it might; have been an anxious, and fretful time. But, the family continued their service of praying, caring for the animals, and loving each other. They, did not lose the faith, and hope that God, will surely work in their lives. 

Hope, is the future tense of faith. The bible, is full of great men and women who had hope, in each step. From the life of Abraham, David Daniel, Job, Gideon, Hannah, Paul, and many more.

I, remember during my childhood, I would ask my mother for a dress, she used to say, ok and pass it. But, in the corner of my heart, I knew she will give it to me. So, everyday, I had a hope I will get today, I will get.. a childish hope. That is hope, In Heb 11:1 " Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." 

Few days back, when I was going through  the Book of 1 Samuel, God reminded me, that He never forgets the cries of an anguish heart, He steps into the situation in His time. Even though, Hannah; was mocked, mistreated, ridiculed, but, she kept her hope alive that, one day Lord will deliver her from her distress. She, remained fervent in her prayer.

1 Sam 1:10 " And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore."

The scriptures, which was written in the past they encourage us, teach us, motivate us so that whatever you endure in your life may bring a  ray of hope. As, written in Rom 15:4 " For whatsoever things are written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scripture might have hope." When times are tough, grab hope, hang on to it, and never let it diminish. Encourage others and build them up.

I, have written a  blog post, which I suppose, though not related directly to your physical dimension of human life yet, I think in  some way or the other way might touch some chords, in someone's life. Perfecting Holiness in Life..

" God means it unto good" for thee, beloved,

God of Joseph is the same today;

His love permits afflictions strange and bitter,

His hand is guiding through the unknown way".

These days, many of us do not feel at ease. The external situations, going around makes a vibration, in our heart. But, His 'word' promises, us that He has overcome the world. And, the dark clouds prevailing around are, all under His feet. He hears, our prayers which is powerful, uttered quietly, with groans, simple language, and, all of these; should come with power, and truthfulness.. Prayer is a powerful weapon which can shape the world, which is needed today.

God wants us to watch and pray as, He wants us to be more near to Him. Seeing to the situation, not only certain groups are affected like poor, rich, old or males, everyone and anyone. Everyone is in dilemma, and anxiety, as to who, and what is next. The peace, is drifting away with a hundred thousand questions for; future of children, job, economy, etc. But, His hope that passeth all understanding may give the wisdom , power, and revelation to follow the next step. Jesus, promises us to give Holy spirit' Comforter'. In John 14: 16,17 "And I will ask the father, an he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- the spirit of truth". Ask the holy spirit to fill you and guide you, for sure the peace will fill you.

Our, God is holy God. Not only, in new testament even, in Old testament during; the time of Abraham, and Moses who experience the presence of God. A holy God, who demands sin to be removed and confessed, so as to have his presence. Once you are holy, you have to have a separation, a cut off, a set apart. This, does not mean you should be like a saint with white and, pure clothes. Outward dress or appearance does not matter, God, looks your inward appearance.

Last week, God enlightened me with wisdom, and showed me the reality to pursue holiness and be more closer. I would like, to give an example; in a rich man's house you will find all type of utensils; made of clay, plastic wood, copper, steel, silver, gold. Now, these utensils are of common purpose, and special purpose. Those who, cleanse themselves from the impurity, keep themselves clean, make themselves holy, will be ready to be used by the Master. As, written in 2 Timothy 2: 20,21 “In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use."

We repent, and chose to follow Christ. If, that's so, we should be holy, and without blame. You can worship God, in the beauty of holiness. God, expects each of us to be holy. Then see, how holy spirit will guide your actions, and instruct you in the way you should go. But, daily surrendering to Lord is important. Whisper, the name of 'Jesus' talk to Him, when you get up, and see the amazing presence of holy spirit.

Living a surrendered Life..

"God turns our despair into hope, when through God we now cope,

With all our concerns in this life, through the spirit of Jesus Christ,

Filling us with a new found peace, that in dark times will not cease,

As a stable life The Lord renders, when the soul to God surrenders."

A positive aspect, to approach  a difficult situation with; a ray of hope will always bring success.  If God, is in control of all situation, who are we to hang over, with the outcome. Covid-19, storms, diseases are; not at all big. Consider God, who is the biggest of our problems.  

Few days back, because of the lockdown, God gave me ample of time, to read scripture, pray and seek his face. I learnt one thing which I like to share. I surrendered, everything at His feet. Oh! the peace, I was left over with, was great.

Surrender means, to give up or hand over, that can be your life, possession, territory, kingdom, etc. Releasing, your authority to His feet.It is a little difficult job, to surrender... our, our personnel things, our wanted desires, But; have you ever thought..nothing in this life is yours, and mine. We are just care takers, of God the 'most high'. Have, you ever imagined, that you cannot take, even a handful of soil, in your fist from here. Everything, belongs to Him. It's written in Ps, 50: 10 " For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills."

Till today, human, was thinking that, man has a capability to reach till the level of the supreme power. 2-3 months back, I saw a video clip, of huge, big very big sophisticated, building and monuments made by China, Japan and many foreign countries. They, needed only few months to reach their ladder to the sky.  And see, within few months God, revealed it to us. As, written in Col 1:16, " For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:"

People might think,  you are defeated, weak, a failure good for nothing, so you are, surrendering. Yes; this is what God, wants from each of us. God, wants us to be humble, and have a faithful commitment to Him. He expects, something from us, which should be discerned by each individual. Most, people think surrendering is to give your family, loved ones, or possessions, and go behind "Jesus".  It is not like that our Lord cares for you, your family, loves and protects them. Why? will such a loving Father, tell you to leave and submit at His feet.

When you are married, you commit and submit, everything to your husband, or wife because you trust him or her, and you know a valid decision will be taken. So, is it with surrender more than commitment.  To love Him, and trust Him and follow His commands, is what He wants. To, grow in His likeness.

Make Him your copilot, and hand over, the keys. He will lead you, and navigate you through smooth roads of your destination. Times, when you have lost  the signal, or there is a storm, or hurricane He, is in to control. 'Jesus' wants you to trust Him and give your family and loved ones in His hands  He, will care better for them.

Such, a surrendered  life can be seen, in Abraham's life. He obeyed, the command of God and, sacrificed his son. God, was pleased, and He strengthened Abraham to carry out God's plan. 'Jesus' to surrendered Hs life, to the will of God the father. He, became a living sacrifice for; you and me, our redeemer. You and me are bought with, a price. There, is freedom, joy and peace in surrendering. Let's take off our hands from, the steering wheel and hand over the keys. Trust Him, love Him, and relax in your drive.

Keep your lamp burning...

It is a sad state, that mostly all countries are now in the grip of Covid-19. The death toll, or the new Covid -19 cases should not be overwhelming for us. A quarantine, lockdown, has kept the public indoors. The announcement, done by the Government authorities is a wise decision. Due to, this the people will stay home safe and fight Corona. Whatever, God does in our life is for our good. He is giving us ample of time, to go through the scriptures, meditate, pray for the nations, the people, repent from old ways, remove the stagnant impurities in life, have a clear conscience of your heart. Have the mind of Christ.

While, I was reading my bible portion, my thoughts went to the command of Lord. God, always commands things, a person ought to follow. In Lev 24:1 "Lord spake unto Mosses, saying, Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually". I pondered, for these words and a thought, came why God wants to have olive oil for light in the lamps. A candle, too can produce light, so many other sources are there. I studied in brief, about them and God enlightened me.

We, definitely live in an era where God, has immensely blessed us, with different sources. And, it is rather pity, that we forget to thank our Lord for His blessings in our life.

God, made natural light for the day time where, there is no need for a candle, torch, or anything else. But, in the night we need light. In olden time, the priest used to come to the holy place, where they had to dwell in God's presence. It, had no natural light, God's presence was enough, to guide them. The revelation, from the word, was there light. As, David says in Ps 119: 105, " Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my pathway."

 This, olive oil is so pure that, it keeps on burning all through the night without flickering, or stopping. The other lights, are all contaminated which, will cease or stop after sometime. And, the consecration to God, will be interrupted. The pure olive oil burns, for a longer time that 's why God, commanded Moses to tell the Israelite to bring pure olive oil beaten, for the light.

 Now, to make pure olive oil, it needs to be beaten, crushed, mashed, and blended, properly so that it will leave it's impurities, and after a long wait of sedimentation you, start to get few drops of oil. This pressure, crushing, stress, anxiety, is not a waste at all. For, the result will be extremely, precious oil.

God, wants you and me also to be this light. Like Jesus, who was the light of the world. We, ought to be such light for the world. Burning for Lord, and waiting patiently, for His coming with a clear heart and  mind. Thanking the Lord, forgiving all, with joy, love, and hope. Eagerly, waiting for our bridegroom. In Matt 25:4, "Like the 5 wise virgins who took oil in jars along with their lamps". 25:13, "Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour". Friends, God is doing something very great, for you and me. God is in control of everything. Let's keep our lamps burning and seek His face. If you find value to this bog share with your friends and family. Enlighten all.
