I, saw my sister this, morning
cluttering with all the vessels from the cutlery shelf. She has, a wide range
of selections. Some, vessels are of plastic, some of clay, some of copper, some
wood, some melamine, some steel, some glass, and so on. When, I asked her,
“What are you going to do with all of them today”? She, told,” I am going to
wash, clean and put them in order, as they have to be used, for the evening
party” The vessels kept in the cutlery shelf have different uses; some to be
used for special purpose, like the silver spoon for the baby, coming, who is
just 6-month-old to eat her porridge. Some steel glasses, for drinking water, some
juice glass for drinking juices, some utensil made of wood or bamboo having
common use; so, as to throw the waste, of chicken bones or fishbones during
meals. After, helping my sister with cleaning, I, came to my room and; recalled
all that happened. God, opened my insight, to the verse in the scriptures; the
verse in 2 Timothy 2: 20,21 “In a large
house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and
clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse
themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy,
useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work”.
Sometimes, you may think, God only
uses those who have gifts and abilities, but it’s not so, God just waits for
you and watches if you give yourselves to Him. You have a choice to be a vessel
fit for God’s use. It, is in our hand and the choice is purely your, whether
you want to be used for honoring your master by being a silver spoon, or be a common
waste dish which get broken and are replaced. If, you have lower qualities in
life, then you will be a vessel used for lower activities. If you have higher
qualities then you will be used for honorable purpose. One thing is here, both
the vessel is used for God. If, you want God to use you, then you should be
clean. We may have some; negative quality like, that of wood or clay or stone
but; you can make it pure and clean by cleaning yourself from sin and fleeing
yourselves from sin and, from worldly nature; of complaints, gossip, anger,
hatred, jealousy. Instead, try to fill your life with good attitude, good
behaviour, faith, love, godliness, self-control, peace. Try to be a vessel, in Master’s hand clean and ready for great and
wonderous things.
